Pre Big War: All 6 Kingdoms lived in relative peace. At some point the Junglers began attacking and raiding trading caravans and merchants passing near their territory. The Woodsmen, Plainsmen and Snowmen sent scouts to find the reason for these savage attacks, but were killed.
Big War: After their scouts were slaughtered, open war broke out between those 4 Kingdoms (Woods, Snow, Plains and Junglers) while the Miners profiteered immensely by supplying the Woodsmen, Snowmen and Plainsmen with weapons and armor. The Nomads wanted to remain neutral, but offered mercenary armies to Woods, Snows and Plains.
Junglers were relentless, and eventually managed to almost completely eradicate the Plainsmen, forcing them out of the war, and leaving the plains undefended. The Junglers gained a foothold at the center of the remaining Kingdoms, and managed to launch deadly assaults on the Miners, forcing them into the war.
After some time (years/months?) the 4 Kingdoms managed to pool their remaining resources, and launch a strategic attack against the Junglers. Despite being outnumbered, they succeeded in pushing them back to their homelands, and eventually won the war.
Post Big War: The 4 remaining Kingdoms began rebuilding what was destroyed, and set up strongholds and outposts near the Jungler border to ensure they'd never return.
The surviving few Plainsmen banded together with many other people from the different kingdoms and established a new home for themselves, encompassing qualities of all 4 Kingdoms.
Current Time: Despite having rebuilt most of the damage, the Kingdoms are on edge as the result of a border dispute regarding the lost territory of the Plainsmen, and who should have access to their resources, and different opinions on what to do with the Jungler Kingdom; some want to pursue them, others want to build a wall around it.
The Snowmen are now investigating the cause of the war, and the Junglers sudden rise in power, the other Kingdoms believe they may be hiding something.
The Miners are strained as they have to provide materials for the other kingdoms as well as their own to help rebuild, and believe they have a claim to new territory.
The Nomads, despite being somewhat removed from the Kingdoms before the war, are now seeking a bigger role in the politics of the Kingdoms, and hope to expand as well.
The Woodsmen are helping rebuilding and supplying materials, and have the most men maintaining the new outposts near the Jungler border. They also believe they have a claim for new territory.
